On the eve of launching Queer Porn TV, creators Courtney Trouble and Tina Horn gave an exclusive interview to The Sex Positive Photo Project of the SF Bay Area. Shilo has worked with Courtney and Tina as the still photographer for one of the scenes that will be available on the new Queer Porn TV site. While working together the three women recognized a shared passion for not only creating sex positive adult content, but also documenting the amazing people who make up the sex positive scene in San Francisco.

What is Queer Porn TV to you and how is it different than the previous website you created, NoFauxxx.com? What can you do, as a producer and creator with Queer Porn TV that you can’t do with NoFauxxx?

Courtney Trouble: I started NoFauxxx when I was 19 years old and didn’t know anything about starting a business or making porn or how to make it community driven. I was really just doing it as a hobby and because I felt like it needed to be done. Fast forward 8 years later and NoFauxxx is thriving. It has made a name for itself and carved out a genre.

I thought it would be cool to branch out and make another site that I could make from the ground up and collaborate a lot, mainly with Tina Horn. It’s sort of like, what would you tell your 19 year old self now? I get to build a porn website now, with all of this wealth of knowledge behind me.

NoFauxxx is not going anywhere, it’s going to keep going down it’s own path. With Queer Porn TV, I feel like I can start with a really strong community and take it a step farther.

For the consumer, what do you hope they can get from Queer Porn TV that they can’t get from NoFauxxx?

Courtney Trouble: There are three things that go along with NoFauxxx but you can only get from Queer Porn TV:
One is direct downloads, so you can purchase the scenes individually instead of just having to be a member, and being a member means you have access to it all, but this way you can buy just the scenes you want.

Secondly, the Star Pages have really in depth written bios as well as video interviews, so you really get to go in depth with who you are watching on screen.

The third element unique to Queer Porn TV is Q-Tube, which is like X-Tube but specifically born within the queer community. By being able to make profiles and comments and upload their own amateur content and meet other people, Q-Tube allows not just our stars, but our audience and our community and anybody who happens upon the site to be a part of the Queer Porn Movement.
